Nestled near the border of Selangor about 35km away from Kuala Lumpur, Genting represents a popular weekend getaway from KL, connected by highways, roads, and cable car.
Since 1971, Genting Highlands has remained Malaysia's only legal gambling outfit - its mini Las Vegas on a mountaintop. While the casinos are central to Genting Highlands, a theme park provides fun rides and activities for adults and children alike, while SkyAvenue and First World Plaza are colourful shopping complexes with restaurants, entertainment, and boutique outlets.
Due to the above attractions and cool temperatures, Genting Highlands has become a popular tourist spot in Malaysia. And, many people are eager to own a property up there, whether as a second home or for investment purposes.
